Pathways to Procurement for Indigenous Women Entrepreneurs
The federal government recently committed to a new target that would see at least five percent of federal contracts awarded to businesses managed and led by Indigenous Peoples—which translates to over $1.1 billion in average spending every year.

This target seeks to leverage public procurement to help grow Indigenous businesses and improve the socio-economic conditions of Indigenous communities across the country.

As part of our Demystifying Procurement & Diversifying the Supply Chain series, WEKH is bringing together leaders from the Indigenous entrepreneurship ecosystem as well as government and service organizations to discuss how Indigenous women business-owners can find and successfully compete for lucrative public contracts.
